He's lying when he says he never said that - the fact is HE DID SAY IT.
You know it and I know it - we obviously diasgree about why he said it, or whether or not he was justified in saying it, but the fact is he said it
and now he's obviously lying and trying to convince the American peiople that he didn't say it - and in my opinion, he looks more ridiculous now than he did then...what little credibility he had in my book has vanished *POOF* into thin air.
I think you have gotten to know me well enough to know that I really don't have a problem with someone/anyone making a mistake based on "faulty intelligence" - we all make mistakes, but those of us who have stones own up to our mistakes, not spin blatant new lies in an attempt to hide the fact that we made a mistake.
although if you look back through some of my old posts from that time period, I don't think I believed it even then, so I do somewhat resent the banket "everyone" - at best, I said that even IF there are WMD's we have no moral right to preemptivly invade without UN backing and proof of imminent threat - which many of us DID doubt even back then - and I haven't even uttered a single "neener neener told ya so" (well, until now ;-) |
