and try to have a little cohesiveness by not having replies split into multiple threads. Also as you say, large posts can be a pain for bandwidth and space reasons, but if we only moderated them we'd have to come up with some criteria for when they are to be moderated and when not. We'd have to spend time evaluating each double post for size and that would take effort. Then someone else wouldn't like the cut offs and would complain which would require us to explain the cutoff size a couple times a week. That would be a pain. So it boils down to the fact that I'm too lazy to be inconsistent. :)
