O.K. Hurt feelings do occur with this game occasionally, I wasn't there so I won't take sides. I will offer some suggestions for what appears to be the map in question.
If the map in question is Oasis, there are some tricks to this map for allies that can make it easier for them to at least capture the old city and keep the Axis off that blasted wall.
1. Capturing the Old City:
On inital spawn Allies should pace themselves about three seconds apart and blitz the old city using the same route. This has worked before and in fact was used as a justification for not correcting an imbalance that appeared later that same map. As soon as the city is captured and the axis cleared out an engineer needs to build and man the MG ASAP! If possible someone needs to back up the person at the MG. DO NOT stop to build CP or the Water Pump!!! Do that only if the initial charge fails. Which now that I've presented the strategy here, likely will.
2. Keeping Axis off of the wall:
Once you have cleaned the vermin </sarcasm> off after blowing the wall, plant mines there. At least one before the stone steps and several on the ledge, plant mines behind the old city water pump as well. Also plant mines such that Axis can't go back and blow CP or Oasis Water Pump without having to deal with the mines. Four is usually sufficient if you place them right. Is it fool proof? No! But it will make the game more challenging for your opponents, hence more fun for all. (I hope) |
