So I was listening to the radio this morning... by Naruki 2004-03-17 07:24:28
and heard Superman by Five for Fighting. The part where he says "More than some pretty face beside a train" obviously reminded me of that famous scene from the Superman movie with Christopher Reed where the teenage Clark Kent is racing the train that holds a young Lois Lane on her way to Metropolis.

And then I thought about the old radio (and later the TV) show where they described Superman as "more powerful than a locomotive". It occurred to me that they said that because that was the most powerful machine people understood, and Superman was even stronger.

And _that_ got me thinking... What is the most powerful machine we know of? In terms of exerting the most PSI, that is. We could also talk about nuclear reactions, I suppose, but I'm wondering about really strong machines. What is it?
