that in the first two pictures Illiad just took random letters in order to produce something LOOKING like Elven. In the third picture I think he took two letters which REMIND (by the look) the viewer of the letters which are actually meant. Try to erase in your mind the parts of the letters which are pointing down. Then the remaining parts look almost like "aaaaaaaahhh". But, of course and as always, that's just my interpretation. :-)
