Place it in luke-warm water for about 15 minutes. If your city has high mineral content use distilled water. Slosh it around a bit then change the water. Repeat twice then place in the dish rack to dry for 24 hours. You may want to remove the cover the speed the drying. You can also pat it dry with paper towels but do let it sit for 24 hour to ensure all the electronics are dry. re-assemble, plug it in and away you go . . Bob's your uncle as my Dad use to say.
