DC Lurker needs input on WA State by chasmosaur 2004-03-09 10:31:13
Oh UF Community:

My husband and I live in the Greater Washington, DC area (though typing that makes me realize it's a bit of an oxymoron ;) ).

A former colleague of my husband's is courting him with a job in the Tri-Cities area of Washington State. At first glance, the opportunity looks exceptionally cool, but we know very little about that part of the country.

I think I'd probably have no problem with the area; I lived in the Laramie,WY/Ft. Collins, CO area for a few years and loved it. But that's really just guess work on my part. We've been researching the area, and looks like a nice place to live (as long as you avoid the Superfund site, that is ;) ). Are there any UFies that live in this part of the world that could give me an honest opinion? My hubby and I both feel that to uproot and move almost 3,000 miles, we should know more about the area than what a quick weekend trip would tell us.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give!
