My problem is I have an extremely foreign name by abstrackt 2004-03-09 09:49:10
I've already tried converting it to hiragana but with no luck.. so I guess katakana it is. My SO has all the luck.. her name works in both alphabets. =( As for the kanji, I'm trying to learn a new one every day.. mind you.. I started two days ago.. I know higashi and mizu right now.

Anyway.. you remind me of something I read in a book about the dutch (my base nationality). At first they're extremely impressed that you took the time to learn their language and customs, but as time goes on they're less and less forgiving and far more critical of mistakes. Don't get me wrong though, I really appreciate the the educational beating. ;)
