reproduction of some music... I dunno, nuances that fall through the cracks in the encoding. I notice it most in Pink Floyd, some blues, and pretty much anything sax- or trumpet-driven.

Anyways, I like the hiss and crackle as well - I find it sort of comforting. Nice memories from when I was a kid, zoning out on the couch with Dad, just listening to record after record.
