All virus writers must be working for Microsoft. by Slamlander2004-03-09 02:49:52

Well, it's withstood both Nimda and CodeRed by Slamlander 2004-03-09 07:21:08
and a bunch of others. It's just that the support for 5.5 is dwindling rapidly. We just found out that a spammer's been relaying through them for a while now. There is one case where they have a legitimate relay requirement and the GFD'd spamer found it! Also, without 3d party tools, it's hard to block inbound spam, wyrms, and virii, as you say yourself.

This is a client that we've had for a while and they really don't have anyone else to turn to at the moment. We had closed down our company over a year ago, my partner agreed to support them for a while longer, on his own, with me tossing in some work as requested. The goal has always been to give them the lowest maintenance network infrastructure possible. They are a Real Estate Brokerage, not an IT shop.
