Well, not exchange, rather the virus scanner installed on it. A message was delivered before it was scanned. This should not have happened! How do I know this? Outlook 2003 has an option to display an IM-alert-like window in the corner and this time it popped twice. The first time I was able to make out subject ("Re: Document") and not a second later it was replaced with "[MailServer Notification]To Recipient virus found and action taken." OK, it cleared it, but being delivered first and checked later (it should be checked on server) seems dangerous, as we all know that at least older Outlook versions can run the virus without the user ever opening the mail.
Perhaps I should write a complaint to Trend.
Now I installed a real-time mail scanner, but shouldn't need one. I only connect to two Exchange servers (@work and @home), both of which are being scanned, but now it seems that's not enough... |
