Yer 1st Computer by concolor222004-02-28 17:48:23
  commodore 64 by PsychoI3oy 2004-02-28 22:25:45
no tape drive, just the cartridges that plugged into the keyboard, some BASIC operating system (recieved when i was in 4th grade)

then an IBM PCjr with dos 2.10 and a single 5-1/4 floppy drive, no hdd, 640k ram(upgraded by the previous owner from 128k) and a 16 color display. the best part? wireless keyboard (IR)

then a 286 with monichrome display and dos 5.0, upgraded to a 386 (my first real hardware experience)

then as a freshman in high school i bought a 486 DX2/66 with 8mb ram and a 500mb hard drive with dos 6.20 and win3.1 . been upgrading that piece by piece ever since

that computer has gone through at least 3 replacements of everything, from a 486 -> cyrix 6x86 166 -> celeron 500 -> athlon 1.1 (Soon to be upgraded to an athlonxp 2800) from 8mb ram to 32 to 128 to 256 (hopefully upgraded soon, too) from 500mb hdd to 2gb to 10gb to the current 40gb. 3 different cases, 8x cdrom -> 40x -> 24/10/40 CD-RW. 256k graphics -> 2mb grapics (later added an 8mb voodoo2) -> 16mb voodoo3 -> 64mb geforce4

still got the floppy drive from the 486 though, but i don't think it's hooked up anymore.
