My modem was not an acoustic coupled jobby though. We had a mod for our direct connect modems to allow us to do pulse dialling. Heh. There was even enough room in the '64 to permit a person to make the modem an 'internal' one. I learned a lot with that computer. The most important things were 6502 Assembly language and hardware interfacing (I added a 19200bps UART at one point).
