| first one I owned ... Nimrod 386 DX66 boosted to 486 bought as obsolete from work in 1996 - for AUD$50. (The keyboard was worth that, then :P) The hard drive was damaged in a bad position, so I couldnt run Windows ... runs 4DOS fine, tho :) - had DOS version of Word, various other text-based utilities. Ive never been into gaming, so size/speed wasnt an issue. Couldnt have internet at home until I bought (another obsolete) machine from work - a Viewsonic monitor and .. I cant remember what the box is, it is packed away in my storeroom, with a AUD$5 obsolete 14K modem from UWA UCS - in 1999. |
