I also agreed that ad hominem attacks should be a modable and, if persistent, bannable offence. I've never seen a time when such attacks makes anything equal to or better place to be. It degrades the community when it happens to one of us and doubly so if you are the receiver of such attacks. Makeing a temproray (or permanent) rule like that would quaff the worst of them and force the ones that don't want a disabling to think twice before posting insults. Illiad brought this up before when things got bad, I think sometime last year. It was voted down, but maybe it needs to be revisited.
