I got a competent tech, who didn't walk me around the block to determine if the video card or monitor was bad. He suggested that I plug the monitor into a known good computer. I'd tried known good monitor with bad computer but without luck due to VGA vs DVI. He then said to check the box for the other video cable, which I'd overlooked. We verified that the monitor was okay, and they sent a tech with a video card the next day.

The hold music was better too!
