and they don't sell live at surplus here only dead/dummy shells/weapons. Except for the gas masks those work. The shells and other weapons if you go out of your way can be modified and made live again but in general they are dummy shells/ammo when they get them in and when they go out. They may have some light residue on them but beyond that they are harmless. None the less they look like ones that aren't dummies and if they have residue on them and someone see's that it's understandable they'd freak out.(such as what happened at the border)
