well changing retry should help it in general	by Celticess	2004-02-16 20:02:22
even with using mirror select it default retries 3x... but when you change it to 5 that tends to help as less chance of all 5 timing out. Btw fyi... you can run "emerge -h" and that will give you an up to date list of emerge commands. The man page is a bit farther behind the build in help.
