My fan on my PS is making a lot of noise. I checked and I have exactly 10 day on my warranty for it. I called tech support and learned a valuable lesson. If you ever move while under a Dell warranty, do not ever forget your old phone number. I spent 35 minutes trying to convince them I was me. I had my entire old address including the +4 on the zip, but would not send me a new PS until I asked for the supervisor. Then they had to do their diagnostics. I had my computer with nothing plugged into it, only the power cord. me: I have it plugged in and I powered it up and it still is making the noise. There is nothing else plugged into the computer tech: Try unplugging the hard drive me: mmm.. powers down computer again, unplugs HD and starts up again. tech: Have you disconnected your monitor. me: yes, the only thing plugged into my computer is the power cord. tech: Have you disconnected your speakers? _{/me bangs heads on desk really hard. ow!}
