and you're right. No one would suggest it because you'd have black organizations up in arms about how blacks are going to be repressed again. No politician would dare touch it.
Racial issues, while definitely still being a problem in many areas, are exacerbated by issues like this which keep Blacks segregated.
Chris Rock said it best: "Who is more racist, blacks or whites? Blacks! Because everything whites don't like about blacks, blacks REALLY don't like about blacks."
No one denies that whites did bad things to blacks (well, no one intelligent). By putting things like Affirmative Action into place, all these orgs are really doing are helping to foster another generation of non-blacks whose first thought when seeing a black doing well will be "yeah, and that'd be my job if it wasn't for those damn programs!"
It's time to give credit where credit is due. If a black makes it on his own, they should NEVER have to defend their accomplishments and point out that they did it on their own and NOT due to a program.
