You may notice that building everything takes a long time, but what'll really get you is the realization you've screwed something up, and have to emerge system again :). Barring that, I bet 20 hours (compile time - if you sleep and it waits for more commands or something, then more). You going for graphical, I assume? I bet you want openoffice, too. Note that there is a binary distribution ebuild, I think, but to compile it will take a *long* time, and a lot of disk space. Anyway, good luck and godspeed, and may you never have to change your USE/CFLAGS halfway through and start over. |
