Windows question by Bellator2004-02-16 10:05:44
  Win2K SP2 & later Compat Mode by gordonf 2004-02-16 10:58:03
If you have SP2 or later you can try right-clicking on the shortcut that launches the game, hit Properties and hit the Compatibility tab. This worked for some edition of Jeopardy I ran once.

However, I've found some badly written games that don't work unless you run them as Admin or Power User. Usually it's a matter of granting Modify permission to Users for the game's Program Files folder, but this is dangerous unless you're sure the game won't break your machine.

What's sad is LucasArts' Jedi Academy falls into this category. Published three years after Win2K and they can't get it right.
