I doubt I'll have kids. I don't deal well with children at ALL, and I see no justification for inflicting my genes on the rest of the world. I'm sorry to disappoint you by refusing your advice, but I really do feel that I need to get completely away from academia. It's unlikely to increase my salary, looking at it realistically, so it's not worth it. Ultimately, it's me that matters most to me, and to keep me going well, I need to get out of an environment which is damaging me.
