| I understand...but in my case, if I would have finished, then I wouldn't be struggling to make the rent, bills, and food. Just because in the "right now", money doesn't make as big of a deal, as you are just supporting yourself, what is going to happen in the future? What if cost of rent, bills, food triples and what you make isn't enough to survive?
If I had a degree, it would make taking care of my 3 kids on my own a heck of a lot easier. Do ya think that I had planned on being alone with 3 kids when I was younger? Nope. What I had going on at the time was "I make enough to survive, so why bother finishing." Well, now I barely make enough, if you don't count the times we had to import water in from the car wash cause I didn't have enough to pay the water bill, (heaven forbid if I lose my Inet tho..hehe), or beg to the landlord to not get tossed in the street.
Think of it as insurance for your future. Maybe your plans right now do not include kids, but what if you ended up with 5 of them. Don't kid yourself into thinking that you could ever shovel enough excrement on a farm to feed them.
The girls and I live a happy life, but if I would have just put in the effort to finish, I wouldn't have to spend my time pouring coolant into a vehicle and pray that it gets me to work every day, or hoping the electricity is still on when I get home.
None of the above considers friends/current family, because they cannot tell you what makes you happy, nor how to live. If they are true friends/family, it won't matter. I am just asking you to consider the worst case scenerio that you could have in the future.
