married to a construction worker. He left graduate studies in, I believe, micro-biology for industrial construction because the work was simply more rewarding. No dealing with grad studies politics, just doing something he enjoyed and could be proud of at the end of the day. Now he gets to spend his work time climbing around the inside of nuclear reactors or up on insanely high scaffolding. I say if your heart's not in it, quit now and find something that you actually enjoy doing. - DW
