it will only catch you worms. and viri Some are even smart enough to infect your system without you having to open an attachment.

Go with mozilla mail. I can also recommend mozilla/firebird/firefox/whatever-it's-called-now as a browser, but if you only want the mail stuff use moz thunderbird. The user interface is nice and close enough to outlook to be usable, and the spam filter works really nice (after training it a while).

if you MUST use outlook, me SURE to ALLWAYS apply the newest patches. Best check every week, and whenever a new worm-panic arrives.

Frankly, if people stoped using Outlook/ Outlook Express, the whole worm business would finally have an end.
