We've got a 3 tier application. One part of the middle tier does the printing of reports. I explained it to that *$%&# user SEVERAL times.
Today I received a mail from him, that no matter what he enters in the printer driver on the terminal (!) server (1st tier), the printer does always the same things (in this case: the selection of the paper tray). He could've seen that on the titles of the printer, because the terminal server uses the printer model as name, but the application server uses the technical name (i.e. spooler's name) as name for the printer. The tool, where he can see the printing progress, displays the technical name.
It's a pity, that I only have a Big Foam Cluebat and not a real baseball bat... |
