Gettysburg address by skeptic2006-11-19 12:55:59
It signalled the death of State's Rights. by Slamlander 2004-02-16 02:13:00
The end of the United States of America and the ascendency of the Federal Government of the United States of America. The Civil War removed a critical check on the powers of the Federal Government. It only took less than 50 years for that government to begin usurping those powers. Freedoms and civil liberties have been steadily eroding since that time.
