For all that it's worth on yesterday's board: I had a math prof who always used the phrase "We will show that..." prior to any proof he did. Now, whenever he considered a proof too hard for the lecture but needed the result, it was "One can proof that...", meaning "I can, you can't". So he became known in the Uni simply as "The One"...
