The wife and I will be flying to New Mexico on Valentine's Day to visit her mom. I want to order some flowers so they will be there when we get to her mom's house. The only problem is, I didn't realize how much it would be (yes all these years and I'm still surprised by the cost of flowers). I don't want to spend too much. It's not that I'm cheap, or that she doesn't deserver it. But the weekend after Valentine's Day is the anniversary of when we hooked up (8 years), and the weekend after that is our wedding anniversary (1 year). I can't really justify spending very much for over priced flowers on Valentine's day when there are more important dates coming up, especially when we are trying to save up for a house. But I really like the idea of surprising her when we get there. I'll probably do it anyway.
