I'm working on a UFie tool. by Didactylos 2004-02-10 18:37:12
It is a client that pulls data from SnappingTurtle's onboard service (Bellator is working on something similar).

Anyway, with the tool half complete, now seems like the perfect time to ask the UF community exactly what they want from such a tool.

Here is a list of things that I think may eventually become features:

Watch list. You receive an alert when one of your buddies come online.

Quick watch: You get a single alert the next time the user is seen.

Diary watch*: watch a diary! Will work best on low volume diaries.

Reply watch*: Get an alert when someone replies to one of your posts.

Message watch*: Get an alert when someone posts an ATTN: $user TLP.

Activity monitor: For when the board is very quiet - get an alert when ANYBODY posts!

What think you? What else would you like to see? Which of my ideas are crazy? Which would you kill for? Any ideas on presentation?

(The items marked (*) are not currently possible with the present onboard service.)
