I am lying on the floor of my naked apartment by toxin 2004-02-10 17:37:49
The continuing saga of moving...

Today my furniture was to be delivered. I have only been in town for three weeks.

In order for my furniture to fit in, the government issue furniture that is not officially here has to be removed. No problem. This morning the not-my furniture is removed. Hence we have a naked apartment.

At lunch a blizzard blows in. The movers shut down for the day. Understandable, but a right royal pain.Hence my still-naked apartment.

The blizzard may be done by noon tomorrow. Here are the problems. One of the two containers may be on the afternoon flight from Yellowknife. The rest of the stuff is supposed to be here. If the plane lands, the movers are also the cargo handling personnel - meaning the plane takes priority. No delivery tomorrow.

If the plane can not land, my stuff goes flying on by, to who knows where. If the plane cannot land, the weather is too bad for me to get my delivery. Naked apartment for another night.

Maybe I will be getting the majority of my stuff on Thursday. Maybe.

In the meantime, the heat is still stuck on full, meaning have to keep a window open to avoid heat stroke. This of couse lets the blizzard in. I cannot adjust the window because of ice in the track jamming it. My [naked] bedroom is freezing. My [naked]living room is too hot. And the building is shaking in the wind.
