Just CYA and make sure that they can't pin any work-related negligence on you, and if they're going to insist on being asses, you may as well use it as an opportunity for humour. Eventually they'll either stop talking to you in disgust, or ask you what you find so funny. Tell them. If they argue with you, laugh some more and thank them for proving your point. Repeat ad naseum until they either leave you alone, or they start thinking. More often than not, they'll just leave you alone unless it's directly work related. If it IS work related where they're screwing up, take it to their boss. It might not make you the most popular person, but 1) it gets the job done and 2) the people that matter (namely the superiors) pay attention.
