So, how do you deal with someone, who refuses... by swisscheese 2004-02-10 16:06:10
... to be swayed by facts, logic, or info that doesn't support their cherished position or opinion on something?

I'm not talking about on-line disputes -- you can just ignore them when you get tired of the futility. I'm talking about co-workers, room-mates, and friends; cases where a final resolution has real-world consequences, or cases where you can't just shut a figurative (or literal, for that matter) door on the person or situation, and just forget about it.

How do you handle this problem?
