If he was using IE in WinXP, then they may have had auto-fill-in for addresses, so typing an initial letter may prompt you with previously visited URLs. the other place to look is in the registry. Go to regedit and find "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs" and see what URLs he has manually entered.
