you know about the scedule
1. today for the first time, way past he knew about it
2. not by him at all
3. to be completly impossible (NO way to process more than 2 plates per day, already considering doing excessive overtime - that means 22 working days, and there are just 13 left until deadline)
Give him this in a way that can be tracked so when later it comes to a resumee on the performance no one can blame you.
Consider the situation: The case is lost. Whether missing by 15 or by 25 plates it will make no difference. Since it cannot be helped now anyway, ignore it and let him run straight into the deadline. All in all it's his duty to keep an eye on the resources.
Concentrate on your own work, to get it done in time so you don't provide a target for him to distract when the desaster homes in on him.
Do not talk to the customer about it, but definately no lies. No denials except when asked directly ("You know about the deadline?" "No. I'm just doing the work given to me without delay."). |
