of the low capital cost. They don't consider the maintenance cost of having someone who actually understands it and can make it sing. Idiots. They probably think that that such skills are 'as easy to pick up as clicking a mouse'. No respect for expertise or knowledge. They deserve the environment they will get with the level of experience they will get - hope they do backups:-)
