So.. we up the education level. by thewrongcrowd 2004-02-10 11:25:33
So what. Colleges and universities are filled with folk who have been down-sized, outsourced, pink-slipped and generally shat upon. They're getting degrees in CSc. (because that's where the money is) and the-gods-know-what-else because that's who's going to be hiring. Unfortunately, most of these people aren't going to find work, just like the bright young faces graduating the first time. Heck, even the lawyers are having a hard time of it.

"Upping the educational level of the country" just shifts the blame for the bad effects of sucking up to corporate greed.
