I had an issue yesterday where, and I'll swear this on whatever you'll accept, I had 2 network ADMINS tell me that they did not understand what they were seeing on the screen.

What they were seeing was the results of a ping and a tracert.

The one person went to her boss and repeated what I had told them the problem was. (that the tracert was failing on hop 4, after having gone from Tempe to Phnx and back to Tempe), and the boss wanted to know WHY we were sending information via Phnx when that's a whole different location and they don't care about the servers there.

Bear in mind that we have absolutely *nothing* to do with their network aside from using it like every other machine on it.

According to these people, they had never been trained on ping or tracert...
