There's a site out there called verticity. Not linking to it as it's a commercial site, but it shouldn't be too hard to find.
Haven't checked it in a while (was on it 4/5 years ago), but where US companies were charging 10 or 15K USD for a job, India was posting $1000 for the same job.
If you want to complain here, you need to focus on the companies who have pushed so hard to make a profit that they have pushed up the cost of living, which then forces another raise to make a profit and causes the wheel to turn again.
While I in no way support that outsourcing every possible thing is a wonderful thing for the economy, I can see where it can be VERY useful as a motivational tool for upping the educational level of the country, esp for people over 30. |
