Put it to you this way: you're walking along the street, minding your own business, when you happen upon an apparently abandoned machine with which you are totally unfamiliar - you can't even identify what it is or what it does. As you stand there looking at it, which of these two questions would be the first question to pop into your mind: 1. How does this thing work? 2. How much would this thing be worth? If you picked #1, you're a CompSci type; #2 puts you in the MIS category.
