is that he's not waiting for blue-laser DVD, which was his original plan (read it in an interview once). I mean, it was originally shot on celluloid. Releasing it on the highest-quality currently unavailable medium is not going to make it magically look better. It's like when CDs first came out, when original recordings were still done on analog tapes. The CDs had a disclaimer on their packaging indicating that, because the CD was made from an analog source, quality would only be as good as that source, and the CD may reveal imperfections that existed on the source. Ok, I didn't mean to be up on a soapbox... steps down
