Technical touch-ups I don't mind. Expanding the number of storm troopers Han encounters when he runs around the corner, I thought was funny (maybe because I had seen it when it was only a dozen). The extra scene with Jabba was ok (except that Jabba was way too slim, and when Solo steps on Jabba's tail, you can tell he was artificially moved up), although you can tell why it was cut, considering all the duplicate dialog. Removing stage hands from the shot, yeah, I would expect that. I even liked the re-done Death Star sequence in IV (VI could've used it, too), although the ring around the exploding Death Star was a bit much.
But when he went beyond that ("Greedogate" as BOS called it), it messes with the character and story, and that just sucks. |
