| No, seriously, you should not try to study anything just for the money. If you're not interrested, it will not work. And also ask yourself the simple question: "do i want do do THAT all day, all my life? Does it may me HAPPY? Or at least not BORED TO DEATH?"
I think there's far too many people studying CS/Informatics because they think that will earn them lots of money. Those guys end up in some type of management position (becuase there they earn more, and they're are no good as coders anyway) and anoy the crap out of people like me (no offense meant -- just don't become like them).

PS: have a look at what CS-courses are offered by colleges, e.g. here. Try googeling for "Computer Science curriculum college" or some such, that's how i found it.
