Me, I'm trying out Mozilla Firefox v0.8 here at w*** while things are slow. (Another name change? C'mon guys, this is getting silly.)
It's not bad - very fast and a nice minimal interface - having the screen real estate back is nice after getting used to that Opera adbar at the top of the screen.
The extensions site is down right now, so I haven't gotten a chance to see whether anything new and cool has been added to it yet, but I did put in the tab extensions since I knew where they were hosted, and they're working great.
Can't seem to make it work with Hotmail yet - it logs in, but not all the buttons are functional. They worked in Opera - has anybody tackled this with success?
I don't think it's necessarily going to pull me away from Opera7 just yet, but it's a pretty impressive program. A little disappointed with the size and memory footprint, though - without a skinned GUI it's taking up more than 40 megs of RAM. Opera usually eats less than 25, with a skin running. And the program itself is over 10 megs now, while Opera's still under.
Ah well. Fun to toy with, anyhow. :) |
