ls confusion by SnappingTurtle 2004-02-10 06:37:05
OK, so ls -a produces this:
[root@Grace mail]# ls -a
. .openwebmailrc .search.cache
.. .pop3.check sent-mail
.filter.book.db .release.date .sent-mail.cache
.filter.check saved-drafts .sent-mail.db
.history.log .saved-drafts.cache .signature
mail-trash .saved-drafts.db .trash.check
.mail-trash.cache saved-messages .virginia.cache
.mail-trash.db .saved-messages.cache .virginia.db
.openwebmail.folderstates .saved-messages.db
Notice the abundance of .db files. However, ls -a *.db gives me this:
[root@Grace mail]# ls -a *.db
ls: *.db: No such file or directory
and of course, ls *.db gives me this:
[root@Grace mail]# ls *.db
ls: *.db: No such file or directory
So... how do I list just the hidden .db files?
