configured to a) auto-acknowledge ANY mail received "from the server inbox" AND transfer all mails received to a local "pst" file. On WinNT4 any local file was (is?) limited in size (though it was something like 2Gb). When the pst-file reaches -even approaches- that limit, it can damage itself and force you to almost throw away ALL mlail that had been "archived safely" for future access. Will the whole scheme work, though, if the outlook client isn't active? Never tried.
