to block *.com and *.net, unless it's an "already approved named site". This way NO typo's go out any more behind the FW, and NO previously un-visited sites can be reached.
While it WILL be costly, and ask more IT security staff, it will also make (other) spam more difficult. Of course, spam-sites aren't "always" in the com or net TLD's, but many are.
IF they go through with it, i guess it can force companies to GIVE UP THEIR net / com names, changing for something reachable. As customers, they 'd QUIT verisign, and more: sue for forcing them to another round of advertising.
Thinking of that: will that be SPAM-type advertising? |
