How do you say "happy birthday" to someone by skeptic 2004-02-10 03:50:13

...who is probably not going to be around for her next birthday?

It's my sister's birthday today. The cancer is not showing any signs of shrinkage, although only an MRI done at least a month from now will be able to show for sure whether any of the treatments is working.

I told her "Happy Birthday". She said "Oh yeah, very happy". I said that I was wishing, not making a statement. Awkward. And we are meeting this Friday for dinner together with my other sister, to "celebrate" this birthday. It's probably going to be worse.
