i've had to deal with two vaio's, one of which had suffered a horrible hard-disk failure about a month after it's waranty expired. the other a collegue at work just bought, and it seems to be doing fine.

she hasn't used apple, but has said repeatedly that she wants one. i don't know how much of that is my influence, and if she's correctly evaluated the complexity of switching/maintaining a mixed-OS network.

can you put any further answers in my diary please? i'm going to bed now.
